英国著名的同性恋流行歌星埃尔顿.约翰坦言同志

      采访时埃尔顿.约翰表示，对于年已54岁的他来说现在收养孩子为时已晚。他和他的同性恋伴侣戴维.弗内茨（David Furnish）以前曾多次考虑要收养一个孩子。“我现在可以肯定地告诉大家：现在（收养孩子）已为时太晚了。要是二十年前，那我肯定会收养一个孩子。”

      埃尔顿.约翰在参加当地一家电视台的节目时说，他不愿意看到当他七十岁时女儿才16岁。

      他还指出，他的名声会给他带来额外的责任，因为作为名人父母会招来许多媒体的关注。我和戴维是世界上最有名的一对同性恋伴侣。而且我经常外出旅行也会对我履行做父亲的责任带来困难。

      30年前他把自己的名字由雷吉纳德.德怀特改为现在的埃尔顿.约翰。他在他的最新个人专辑《来自西海岸的歌》中对歧视同性恋现象进行的批评。

   “我为自己是一名同性恋者而感到自豪，但同时我并不是为了成为一个同性恋而活着。”

British pop star Elton John, who is openly gay, said in an interview published Tuesday he was too old to adopt a child at 54, but would have done so 20 years ago.

John told Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet he and his partner, David Furnish, had thought a lot about adopting a child.


"But I have come to the conclusion that it is too late for me. Had it been 20 years ago, then I would definitely have done it,'' John told the paper, in what it called an exclusive interview.


John, on a one-day visit to Sweden to appear in a television show, said: "I don't want to be 70 years old when my daughter turns 16."


He also said his fame would cause "extra big" responsibilities because celebrity parents attracted so much media attention.




"David and I are one of the world's most famous gay couples," he said, adding that his own extensive traveling could be difficult to combine with the role of being a parent.


John, who changed his name from Reginald Dwight to Elton John 30 years ago, criticized discrimination against homosexuals in his latest album "Songs From the West Coast," Aftonbladet said.


"I am proud to be gay, but at the same time I don't live for being gay," said the star.
